Headlining the Mapperley Stud stallion roster again this year is Champion Australian Middle Distance Horse of the Year Contributer (High Chaparral). Standing at a fee of $12,500 plus gst (LFG), Contributer offers an incredible opportunity to breeders who are eager to access High Chaparral’s best performed son who is standing at stud in New Zealand. An unbelievably talented racehorse, Contributer is a dual Gr.1 winner , 5-time Stakes winner and has a pedigree to die for. Supported by an enviable book of mares in 2016, Contributer will no doubt be represented by an impressive first crop of foals this Spring.
Dominant Gr.1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Complacent (Authorized) will stand his second year at stud for a fee of $5,000 plus gst (LFG). Representing enormous value, breeders have taken advantage of the benefit of being able to access such a well performed and beautifully bred son of champion sire Authorized (Montjeu). With the same blood running through his veins as prolific Gr.1 winners Wandjina, Dracula and Crystal Lily, Complacent is bred on the same cross as leading young sire Tavistock. Complacent’s first foals are due this Spring.
He’s Remarkable (Pentire) will return in 2017 and will stand at an unchanged service fee of $4,000 plus gst (LFG). With progeny situated in top stables in New Zealand, Australia and Asia, He’s Remarkable’s oldest progeny are two-year olds and are certainly making their mark. Trial results are speaking for themselves and stable stars are likely to prove their worth over the coming months. A Gr.3 winner in his own right, He’s Remarkable was represented last season by his dual Gr.1 winning full brother Xtravagant who was recently sold in a lucrative stud deal to Australian powerhouse Newhaven Park.
“The 2017 Mapperley Stud roster is something I am extremely proud of and we are really fortunate to be in a position where we are able to offer such a star studded line up of stallions to the Australasian market. All three of our boys are stunning individuals, have impeccable pedigrees and were out and out freaks on the track so we look forward to another conducive year in the serving barn” Simms Davison, Mapperley Studmaster
