The late Atlante, a son of Fastnet Rock sired his first winner at Hastings today when Callsign Mav ran out a comprehensive winner. There was plenty of talk on the track about the strapping son of Atlante and the first starter justified his strong support to win in a stylish manner. Riva Capri also on debut flashed home late for 2nd to give Atlante the Quinella in the race. His first winner came on the back of some impressive trial performers over the last few months. Atlante has a lot of nice horses on the ground, there is a strong feeling that his first crop will come out firing as spring 3yo’s.
