The sole representative of promising young sire Contributer at the 2022 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney was knocked down to a winning bid of $100,000 from Pride Racing. One of Australia's premier stables. Joe Pride trains out of Warwick Farm and is coming off one of his most successful years as a trainer with his highlight performer the grand sprinter Eduardo.

Catalogued as Lot 272 the Contributer colt is out of the 4-time winning Testa Rossa mare Stellafire. A well related mare, Stellafire is a half-sister to the Gr.1 South Australian Oaks winner Lights of Heaven, the dam of stakes performed Angel of Heaven. This colt also descends from the family of Gr.1 winner Dal Cielo and stakes winning mare Eloa.

Sold by popular vendor Wentwood Grange, this is the first Contributer yearling to go to auction in 2022. Wentwood, a shareholder in Contributer supported the Dual Gr.1 winning son of High Chaparral strongly in his early years at stud and they have been encouraged by the stock he has produced. They continue to be a big believer in him sending another 3 mares to him in 2021.
