Benefactress, a 3 year-old filly by Contributer is rising quickly through the grades stringing together two impressive victories on the trot. In the hands of leading Melbourne trainers Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra, she showed she was a filly going places with an electric performance at Caulfield.
Stepping up to city class after a dynamic maiden win, leading jockey Damien Lane found a split between runners and burst through effortlessly and was eased down at the line for a comfortable victory.
After a few eye catching runs over shorter distances, the progressive filly is starting to develop an impressive record. Saluting at Caulfield, one of Melbourne’s premier racecourses is a sign of things to come for the talented filly and we can expect her to get better as she steps up in distance.
