MAPERLEY STUD HOME BREDS CONTINUE THEIR REIGN OF DOMINANCE

Mapperley Stud is proving time and time again that it’s rolling hills, large fertile paddocks, experienced team and top class facilities are a recipe for success.

With an ever growing honor roll, Mapperley has celebrated much success over the past few weeks with three Stakes winners (plus a Group 2nd) being bred, born and raised at the Matamata based nursery.

The latest to claim Group glory was DANIEL, a 6-year-old gelding from resident Mapperley mare Tina. By former Windsor Park stallion Guillotine, Daniel claimed his second Gr.3 victory when he took out the Colonial Chief Stakes in Singapore on Sunday evening.

Bred and raced by astute businessman and avid racehorse owner CK Phua, Daniel is a winner of 8 races, including two at Gr.3 level and his resume also includes a close 2nd in the Gr.1 Singapore Guineas to War Affair.

“It is incredibly rewarding to see our clients benefit from all the hard work that goes in to raising a young thoroughbred and our whole team feels a sense of accomplishment when they go on to do well”, said Simms Davison.

Tina, the dam of Daniel is in foal to Champion Middle Distance Horse in Australia Contributer who is standing his first season at stud at Mapperley.
