With an exclusively limited number of mares in-foal to Contributer offered at this weeks NZB Broodmare sale, buyers entered into spirited bidding to secure the lots available.

Fetching the second highest priced broodmare at the sale was Grandissima (Lot 384) who held a positive pregnancy test to Contributer and was knocked down for a cool $85,000 to the bid of The Sunlight Trust.

A young Stakes performed Savabeel mare, Grandissima is closely related to Gr.1 winners Press Statement and Press Day and is a half-sister to Group winners The Mighty Lions and Marenostro. Grandissima is typical of the quality of mares who filled Contributer’s first book in 2016 and we expect to see the quality shine through in his first crop of foals due this Spring.

We are now taking bookings to Contributer (by High Chaparral) who will stand his second season at stud for $12,500 plus gst.
