Aloft, a well bred daughter of Atlante made it two wins from two starts at New Plymouth Raceway. The promising 3yo filly ensured she maintained her unbeaten record with another convincing victory for trainers Steven Ramsay and Julie Ritchie. Racing in the famous Pencarrow colours, leading jockey Craig Grylls settled her towards the tail of field before angling out to produce a powerful finishing burst to easily round up her opposition.
Aloft is extremely well-related, she is a half-sister to Gr.2 Ethereal Stakes winner Eleonora, who also placed in the VRC Oaks at Gr.1 level, as well as leading NZ mare Supera who has saluted at Group level twice and will be chasing a Gr.1 victory this season.
