Callsign Mav bounded clear to win impressively over 1400m in the 3YO Handicap at Hastings. The Powerful son of Atlante was back to his brilliant best when he stormed down the centre of the track and exerted his dominance over a talented field which included Australian Gr.2 Ming Dynasty winner Quick Thinker.

After a promising Spring where he ran 2nd in the Gr.2 Hawkes Bay Guineas to the boom 3YO Catalyst, he continued on a path to the Gr.1 spring riches in the 2000 Guineas and the Levin Classic. He was competitive at the top level for trainer Jon Bary which boded well for the Handicap conditions at Hastings.

He is continuing to develop in himself and he is not the finished product just yet. Bary has a big opinion of the 3yo and he has some lofty autumn targets for the talented son of Atlante.
